zSplit is not a payment processor, bank, accounting service, legal advisor, tax advisor, property management company, or utility provider. Users manually enter information into zSplit, including properties, units, tenants, bills, split percentages, payment details, and payment statuses.

We collect information that users provide directly, information generated through use of the platform, and limited technical information collected automatically.

Account Information

When you create an account or use zSplit, we may collect:

Billing and Payment Information

zSplit uses third-party services, including WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscriptions, and Stripe, to process subscriptions and payments.

Landlords are responsible for ensuring they have the right to enter tenant information into zSplit and to use zSplit to send payment requests, reminders, or rent reminders to tenants.

Uploaded Attachments

Paid plans may allow users to upload attachments, such as:

  • Utility bills

  • Rent-related documents

  • Screenshots

  • PDF files

  • Images

  • Other supporting documents related to payment requests

Uploaded attachments may be stored by zSplit and may be included in emails sent to tenants if the landlord chooses to attach them to a payment request.

Landlords are responsible for making sure they have the right to upload and share any files they submit through zSplit.

Email and Communication Data

zSplit may collect and process information related to emails sent through the platform, including:

  • Sender details

  • Recipient email addresses

  • Payment request content

  • Reminder email content

  • Billing month

  • Due date

  • Bill amounts

  • Tenant amounts due

  • Email settings entered by the landlord

Email delivery may be handled through third-party services such as Amazon SES or other email delivery providers.

If a tenant replies to an email request sent through zSplit, the reply may be directed to the landlord email address entered in the landlord’s zSplit email settings.

Tenant information entered into zSplit is used to provide the service to the landlord account holder.

  • Showing payment request history

  • Tracking paid, pending, overdue, or cancelled statuses

  • Displaying tenant-related records in the landlord’s dashboard

zSplit does not sell tenant information.

zSplit does not share tenant information with unrelated landlords, unrelated users, or public audiences.

Tenant information may be processed by service providers used to operate zSplit, such as hosting providers, email delivery providers, payment processors, analytics tools, security tools, or other technical providers.

5. Uploaded Files and Attachments

When landlords upload attachments, those files may be stored by zSplit and used to provide attachment-related features.

Uploaded attachments may be included in payment request emails sent to tenants if the landlord chooses to attach them.

zSplit does not sell uploaded attachments.

zSplit does not intentionally share uploaded attachments with anyone except:

  • The landlord account holder

  • The intended tenant recipients, when attachments are included in payment request emails

  • Service providers needed to store, process, email, secure, or support the files

  • Parties required by law, court order, or legal process

  • Parties needed to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, or violations of our Terms and Conditions

Landlords should not upload files they do not have permission to use or share.

6. Payment Processing

Payments and recurring subscriptions are processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe and through WooCommerce-related services.

When you purchase a paid subscription, your payment information is processed by the payment processor. zSplit does not directly store full credit card numbers or full card security codes on its own servers.

Payment processors may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

zSplit may receive limited payment-related information, such as payment status, subscription status, customer ID, transaction ID, billing email, plan name, renewal date, and related billing records.

7. Email Delivery

zSplit uses email to send payment requests, reminders, rent reminders, account-related messages, support responses, and system notifications.

Email delivery may be handled through third-party providers such as Amazon SES or other email delivery services.

Email-related information may be processed by these providers as necessary to send, route, secure, monitor, or troubleshoot emails.

We do not guarantee that every email will be delivered, opened, read, or acted upon. Email delivery can be affected by incorrect email addresses, spam filters, inbox settings, email provider rules, third-party service issues, or other factors outside our control.

If you are a tenant and want to access, correct, or remove information connected to a landlord’s account, you may need to contact the landlord directly because the landlord controls the information entered into zSplit.

You may also contact zSplit, and we will review the request. In some cases, we may need to refer the request to the landlord account holder or verify the request before taking action.

15. Marketing Communications

zSplit may send account-related emails, billing emails, subscription emails, support emails, product updates, or service notices.

If we send optional marketing emails, you may unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us.

You may still receive important transactional or service-related emails, such as account, subscription, billing, payment request, security, or legal notices.

16. Children’s Privacy

zSplit is not intended for children.

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account or use zSplit as a landlord or property owner.
