Effective Date: June 27, 2026
Welcome to zSplit. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of zSplit, including our website, dashboard, subscription plans, email request features, uploaded attachments, and related services.
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, using zSplit, or accessing any part of our website or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use zSplit.
1. About zSplit
zSplit is a software tool designed to help landlords and property owners organize shared rental expenses, split rent and utility bills, send payment request emails, track payment statuses, and manage tenant-related payment records.
zSplit is not a property management company, payment collection service, legal advisor, accounting service, tax advisor, or utility provider. zSplit does not automatically collect payments from tenants and does not automatically retrieve bill amounts from utility providers.
Landlords and account holders are responsible for manually entering accurate information into zSplit.
2. Eligibility
To use zSplit, you must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and be legally able to enter into these Terms.
By using zSplit, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right and authority to use zSplit for the properties, tenants, bills, payment requests, and uploaded files you manage.
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to update it when necessary.
You are responsible for making sure your account, property information, tenant information, bill information, payment settings, and email settings are accurate.
If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, you should contact us immediately.
4. Subscription Plans
zSplit may offer free and paid subscription plans. Features, limits, and pricing may vary depending on the plan selected.
Plan limits may include, but are not limited to:
Number of properties
Number of units
Number of tenants
Access to attachments
Access to payment tracking features
Access to reminders
Access to reports or future premium features
We may update, change, add, or remove plan features at any time. If we make material changes to paid plan features, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice.
5. Payments and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis according to the plan selected at checkout.
Payments are processed through third-party payment processors, including Stripe. zSplit does not directly store full credit card numbers or full payment card details on its own servers.
By purchasing a paid subscription, you authorize our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for recurring subscription fees, applicable taxes, and any other charges associated with your plan.
If your payment fails, your subscription may be paused, restricted, cancelled, or downgraded. You are responsible for keeping your payment method current.
Subscription billing, payment processing, failed payments, renewals, and cancellations may be handled through WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscriptions, Stripe, or other third-party services used by zSplit.
6. Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription through your account area or by contacting us for support.
When you cancel, your subscription may remain active until the end of your current billing period, unless otherwise stated. After cancellation, your access to paid features may end, and your account may be limited to available free plan features.
zSplit is not responsible for lost access to paid features after cancellation, failed renewal, payment failure, chargeback, or subscription expiration.
7. Refunds
Unless required by law, subscription payments are generally non-refundable once billed.
We may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis, but we are not obligated to provide refunds for unused time, accidental purchases, failure to cancel, lack of use, or dissatisfaction after access has been provided.
8. User Content
When using zSplit, you may enter, upload, submit, store, or send information through the platform. This may include:
Property names and addresses
Unit names and rent amounts
Tenant names, email addresses, and phone numbers
Bill types and bill amounts
Split percentages
Payment request records
Payment status records
Uploaded attachments, such as bills, screenshots, PDFs, images, or related documents

This information is referred to as “User Content.”
You retain ownership of your User Content. By using zSplit, you grant zSplit a limited permission to store, process, display, transmit, and use your User Content only as needed to provide the service, including calculating payment requests, sending emails, attaching bill files, displaying records in your dashboard, supporting your account, and maintaining the functionality of the platform.
9. Tenant Information
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to enter tenant information into zSplit and to use zSplit to send payment requests, reminders, rent reminders, or related communications to tenants.
You agree not to use zSplit to send messages to anyone unless you have a valid reason and the appropriate right or permission to contact them.
You are responsible for the accuracy of tenant names, email addresses, phone numbers, unit assignments, split percentages, and payment request details.
zSplit does not verify tenant information, lease terms, payment obligations, utility arrangements, or the accuracy of amounts entered by landlords.
10. Uploaded Attachments
Paid plans may allow users to upload attachments, such as utility bills, screenshots, PDFs, images, or other supporting documents.
You are responsible for all files uploaded through your account.
You agree not to upload files that are unlawful, harmful, abusive, misleading, confidential without authorization, infringing, malicious, infected with malware, or unrelated to the intended use of zSplit.
Uploaded attachments may be included in payment request emails sent to tenants if you choose to attach them. By uploading and sending attachments through zSplit, you confirm that you have the right to share those attachments with the intended recipients.
zSplit does not review every uploaded file and is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or contents of attachments uploaded by users.
We may remove, restrict, or delete uploaded files if we believe they violate these Terms, create security risks, exceed reasonable usage limits, or are being misused.
11. Privacy and Data Handling
zSplit does not sell tenant information, landlord information, uploaded attachments, or user account details to third parties.
We do not share your uploaded attachments or tenant details with other landlords, unrelated users, or public audiences.
However, information may be processed by service providers that help us operate zSplit, such as hosting providers, email delivery providers, payment processors, analytics tools, security tools, WooCommerce-related services, Stripe, Amazon SES, or other technical providers required to operate the platform.
These services may process information only as needed to provide their services to zSplit.
Your use of zSplit is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
12. Email Requests and Email Delivery
zSplit allows landlords to send payment request emails, reminder emails, and other related communications to tenants.
You are responsible for reviewing payment request details before sending them.
zSplit does not guarantee that every email will be delivered, opened, read, or acted upon. Email delivery can be affected by spam filters, incorrect email addresses, recipient inbox settings, email provider issues, internet service issues, or third-party delivery problems.
If a tenant does not receive an email, you are responsible for following up through another method if necessary.
If tenants reply to emails sent through zSplit, replies may be directed to the email address entered in your zSplit email settings.
13. Manual Entry and Accuracy
zSplit does not automatically connect to utility providers, banks, payment processors, accounting software, or rental platforms to retrieve bill amounts or verify payment status.
Landlords manually enter bill amounts, rent amounts, split percentages, tenant details, due dates, and payment statuses.
You are solely responsible for confirming that all amounts, percentages, due dates, tenant details, payment instructions, and requests are accurate before sending them.
zSplit is not responsible for incorrect payment requests, incorrect calculations caused by incorrect user input, outdated tenant details, incorrect split percentages, incorrect bill amounts, incorrect rent amounts, or disputes between landlords and tenants.
14. Payment Collection
zSplit does not collect rent, utility payments, or tenant payments on behalf of landlords.
Payment request emails may include your selected payment method and payment instructions, but tenants pay you outside of zSplit using the method you choose.
zSplit does not verify whether payment has actually been received. Payment statuses are manually managed by the landlord.
You are responsible for confirming payments and updating statuses accurately.
15. No Legal, Accounting, Tax, or Rental Advice
zSplit is a software tool only.
zSplit does not provide legal, accounting, tax, financial, rental, lease, property management, or compliance advice.
Landlords are responsible for making sure their rent charges, utility charges, lease terms, payment requests, tenant communications, expense splitting practices, and recordkeeping comply with applicable laws, rental agreements, accounting requirements, and local rules.
You should consult a qualified professional if you need legal, tax, accounting, or rental advice.

We do not guarantee that emails will be delivered, tenants will pay, payment statuses will be accurate, uploaded files will be accepted by recipients, or that zSplit will meet all legal, accounting, rental, or business requirements.
You use zSplit at your own risk.
